Healing Journey

The 3-Word Philosophy for Starting Your Healing Journey

May 13, 20253 min read

Have you ever sat with your pain, overwhelmed by thoughts and questions, and then a few minutes later, thought, “What am I even supposed to do with all of this? How do I even begin?”

Or maybe you’ve wondered, “How do I take everything I’m feeling and pull it together into something that makes sense, something that helps me move forward?”

Mama, I hear you. You’re not alone. This happens to the best of us. And I want to share a guide that can help you take that first step toward clarity and healing.

It’s called FEEL, KNOW, DO—a simple framework to help you navigate your thoughts, your actions, and your healing journey. This philosophy is about creating a clear intention in how you process your grief, how you choose your steps, and how you communicate with yourself and others.

FEEL
How do you want to feel, Mama?
• Seen? Heard? Validated? Loved? Safe?

When you sit with your pain, ask yourself, How do I want to feel in this moment? If you want to feel safe, create a space where you can cry, pray, or just be still. If you want to feel seen, reach out to someone you trust who will just listen. If you want to feel hopeful, find a small act that brings light into your day—a walk, a song, a prayer.

You don’t have to fix everything right now. Just think about how you want to feel and focus on one small step to get closer to that feeling.

KNOW
What do you need to know to move forward?

Maybe you need to know:
• That your pain is valid and you’re not alone.
• That this journey doesn’t have to be rushed.
• That healing is a process, and it’s okay to take it one moment at a time.

Whatever it is, get clear on what you need to understand about yourself, your journey, and the steps ahead. Write it down if it helps. Knowing what you need can bring focus to the overwhelming emotions and help you identify where to start.

And Mama, if this feels too hard, that’s okay. Sometimes we don’t know what we need until someone walks with us. That’s why I’m here. If you’re unsure, I can help guide you to clarity.

DO
What is one small action you can take today?

This doesn’t have to be big. It can be as simple as:
• Writing a prayer or thought in a journal.
• Drinking a glass of water.
• Texting a friend and saying, “I need a little love today.”
• Whispering, “Jesus, help me.”

The goal isn’t to fix everything. The goal is to move forward—just one step at a time. Think of this as building momentum. Over time, these small actions will add up to big changes.

And if you’re ready, let this guide become a starting point for your transformation.

Let’s Apply This to You
Mama, here’s how this framework can work for you today:

1. FEEL: How do I want to feel by the end of the day?
Maybe you want to feel just a little less heavy. Start there.

2. KNOW: What is one thing I need to know right now?
Maybe you need to know that you’re not failing. That you’re doing the best you can with what you have.

3. DO: What is one thing I can do to care for myself today?
Maybe it’s letting yourself cry. Or saying no to something that feels like too much.

This is your starting point. This is your guide. And it’s okay if it feels messy or imperfect—healing always does.

Your Next Step
If this resonates, Mama, let’s keep going. Take this guide and make it yours. Write down how you want to feel, what you need to know, and one small action you can take.

And if you feel stuck, reach out. I’m here to help you take the next step, no matter how small it feels.
You are not alone. You are loved. You are brave. And you are doing something remarkable by choosing to take even one step forward today.

Let’s walk this journey together.
