The Foundational Truth That Keeps Me Going
Let’s talk about the foundational truth that keeps me going: I am 100% about Jesus. I believe that when you turn your heart toward Him, He doesn’t just watch you from a distance—He feels the desires of your soul and lovingly pours Himself into every barren place. Once you experience His presence, you no longer wonder about spirituality. You know that Jesus is the reality, a gentle yet powerful force who restores, reshapes, and recreates your very being.
So many of us, especially in our darkest hours, reach outward to the world for answers. We get caught in expectations—what to achieve, how to measure up, whether we’ll ever be “good enough.” All of that searching outside ourselves can leave us feeling even more hollow. But the deepest truth is that Jesus meets you right where you are—quietly, personally, in the stillness of your heart. He’s there to untangle every knot, to hold your grief in holy hands, and to speak life into those hidden corners where doubt, fear, and heartbreak live.
Here’s the heartbeat of Syrup to the Soul: We come together to fix our eyes on Jesus, giving Him permission to mold us into a being closer to His image. The more we lean in, the more we discover that self-love and acceptance aren’t prideful—they’re holy. When we let His presence redefine what “good enough” means, we finally rest in the truth that we are loved, seen, and purposed. That’s where real freedom begins. It’s not about having perfect faith or achieving some pinnacle of success; it’s about wholeheartedly asking Christ to breathe fresh hope into our weary bones and to pour His living water into every parched place.
Wherever you find yourself—mourning the loss of a child, drowning in the pressures of a demanding career, or somewhere in between—my prayer is that you encounter Jesus in such a tangible way that doubt has no choice but to flee. May He be the Syrup to your Soul, the sweetest nourishment that holds you, heals you, and sets you back on your feet with renewed purpose.
We start here: opening our hearts to the Savior who already knows us inside and out. All you need is a simple, whispered invitation to say, “Jesus, make me Yours.” I promise you, He is listening. And in that holy exchange, everything changes.
With unshakable faith and heartfelt love,
Julie
