Mama, You Are Not Stuck: Finding Purpose & Community After Child Loss

June 16, 20252 min read

When life feels like a chaotic whirlwind, when grief and loss have left you stumbling, unsure how to move forward, I want you to pause. Take a deep breath. It’s hard to go anywhere without a vision—without knowing where to start or what you’re even hoping for. That’s what child loss does—it shatters everything, including your dreams. Suddenly, you’re just trying to survive the day, shuffling through life, wondering if you’ll ever smile again without guilt, cry without shame, or walk into the world without feeling numb.

But let me tell you this: You are not stuck. This is not your final destination. Yes, grief has put you in a circle—a routine, a loop—but it doesn’t define you. God hasn’t finished with you yet. You’re doing the unimaginable, living through every parent’s worst nightmare, and you’re still standing. That alone is breathtaking. You’ve already begun to heal, even if it doesn’t feel like it yet. The door to something greater is opening—you just have to walk through it.

To move forward, you need to shift your perspective. You need to let God reshape your life, step out of that box, and start dreaming again. It doesn’t have to be something extravagant or monumental. It could be as simple as baking a cake, starting a book club, quilting an afghan, or sharing your story. The world doesn’t need perfection—it needs you. Your perspective, your voice, your story—they have value. Someone out there needs what you carry. They need your words, your strength, your kindness, your creativity. You have purpose, even if you can’t see it yet.

Victory isn’t about life going perfectly or the grief disappearing. Victory is knowing who you are in Christ and walking in that truth, even when it’s messy. You already have everything you need inside of you—your purpose, your strength, your dreams—they’re still there. It’s time to uncover them, one small step at a time.

And if you don’t know how, I’m here. I’m not here to give you all the answers, but I’ll walk with you. I’ll hold space for you to cry, scream, or just be still. When you feel crushed, I’ll remind you that you’re right where you need to be. And when the wave of emotions threatens to swallow you whole, I’ll sit with you in the storm and say, “Mama, you’ve got this. Let’s do this together.”

Jesus is your guide. Ask Him to show you the way forward. And if you need someone to walk with you, use my website to book a free call with me to see how we can move forward together.
